Population is 4 million (20,000 Japanese) and port town. In Australia Sydney is pronounced as "SHIUUNI." <機内隣席の中山君と八尾氏> 中山君は医師・32歳・バックパッカー・一人旅。なかなかの好青年、アルコールも入って、フライト中楽しい会話であった。 <Nakayama and Yao of a next seat in airplane> Mr. Nakayama is a doctor, 32 years old and a backpacker. He is traveling alone. An excellent good youth and after the alcohol we had pleasant conversation during the flight. <センテニアル・パーク 1> シドニー市街地の南東にある『ばかでかい公園』。ウォーキング・ジョギング・乗馬・ラグビー・サッカー等、なんでもあり。 <Centennial Park 1> It is the very big park in the southeast of the Sydney city area. A walking jogging, horse riding, rugby and soccer are possible. <センテニアル・パーク 2> この道は、ウォーキング・ジョギング専用で右が自転車用ロード。今回の旅行は、よく歩いた。1時間の継続歩行は当たり前。 <Centennial Park 2> This way is only for walking and jogging,the right way is for bicycles. We often walked during this travel and the walk of 1 hour was natural. <センテニアル・パーク 3> 彼の左の道は、乗馬用ロード。遠くに乗馬中の2人が見える。彼は万歩計を常時携帯、日平均16,000歩かな? <Centennial Park 3> The way on the left is for horse riding. Two horse riders are seen in the distance. My friend is always carrying step-meter and he is walking average of 16,000-steps a day. <センテニアル・パーク 4> 公園にはこの様な池が数カ所あり、ペリカン等数種の鳥がゆったり泳いでいた。人間だけでなく鳥もスローライフ。 <Centennial Park 4> There were several places such this pond in a park, and several kinds of pelicans, birds swam relaxedly. Not only a human beings but also birds was having slow life. <センテニアル・パーク 5> なにかのメモリアル・プレイス、疲れて関心と余裕無し。 <Centennial Park 5> It was memorial place for something, but I was tired and I didn’t have much interest. <センテニアル・パーク 6> 約1.5時間のウォーキング後、休憩。彼は元気、私『タクシー呼んでくれ!』 <Centennial Park 6> After walking about 1.5 hours, we take a break. My friend was still healthy, but I said "Call a taxi" <センテニアル・パーク 7> われわれの隣席の家族、子供がかわいすぎる。アングロサクソンと蒙古民族との違いか? <Centennial Park 7> A family next to our seat loves too much their child. Maybe it is a difference between Anglo-Saxon and Mongolia race. <センテニアル・パーク 8> このビーフ・ハンバーグは、直径約20cm・厚さ10cmとビッグのうえに旨かった。なぜ日本の物と違いすぎるか。 <Centennial Park 8> This beef hamburger steak was delicious and big, about a diameter of 20cm and thickness of 10cm. What is it too different from a Japanese one? #

<シドニー市内の公園> 4月29日も、たくさん歩きました。センテニアルパークから市内中心部まで、約4km、途中フリーマーケットも散策。 <A park of the Sydney city> We walked a lot on April 29. It is about 4km from Centennial Park to city center. There was Flea market on the way to city center. <地下鉄ウィンヤード駅> シドニーの地下鉄は日本の徐行運転が通常スーピード、人と同様スローライフ運転。 <Subway Wyn Yard Station> Subway of Sydney running at normal speed however this speed is slow for Japanese subway. As people’s life does the subway is also running slowly. <サーキュラーキー 1> フェリーの切符売場、どこまでいくのかな?もう歩かなくていいから、フェリーはグッド。 <Circular Quay 1> This is a ferry ticket-selling place. Till which place will we go? Because I can’t walk anymore, ride on a ferry would be wonderful. <サーキュラーキー 2> 遠くに見えるオペラハウスとハーバーブリッジ、そこがサーキュラーキーだ。 <Circular Quay 2> You see in the distance Opera House and Harbor Bridge. There is a Circular Quay. <サーキュラーキー 3> このフェリーは、観光船でなく市民の足。このスピードが心地よい。 <Circular Quay 3> This ferry was for citizen’s use not sightseeing ship. This speed was comfortable. <サーキュラーキー 4> なかなか上手かったミュージシャン、聞き惚れました。 <Circular Quay 4> She was a very good musician,we were listening for a while. <サーキュラーキー 5> 彼女の前のギターケースには、多くのお金が入っていた。当然、私もプレゼントし握手してきた。 <Circular Quay 5> A lot of money was in a guitar case in front of her. Naturally I gave her also and shake hand. 1950年代初期、シドニー・シンフォニーオーケストラのチーフ指揮者の提案と、デンマークの建築家のデザインで、16年の歳月をかけて建設された。 <Sydney Opera House> It was built for 16 years by suggestion of a chief leader of Sydney symphony orchestra and was designed by Denmark architect in the early days 1950’s. <シドニー・ハーバーブリッジ> コートハンガーと呼ばれる橋、弧の字の部分を歩く約3時間のブリッジ・クライムがお薦めだが、人気の為予約が必要さらにA$155と高い。 <Sydney Harbor Bridge> This bridge is called a coat hanger. It is recommended bridge climbing however price is expensive with A$155 for about 3 hours of walking a part of arc. #

ヨット好きな人には、たまらない都市。シドニー湾のいたる所にヨットハーバーがあり、そこは市街地より近いからなおさらだ。 <Sydney Bay 1> Sydney is the best city for yacht loving persons. There are many yacht harbors and they are near from town area. <シドニー湾 2> 市街地を背に進む。港・海にも塵は無く、市民のモラルの高さが伺える。 <Sydney Bay 2> This ferry goes ahead leaving behind town area. They are no garbage showing high morality of citizens. <シドニー湾 3> 『時の流れは平等だ』 ゆっくり進行するシドニー・フェリーに乗っていると、そんな感傷になる。 <Sydney Bay 3> “Time flow is equal for everyone” It gives such impression when you are sitting in a slowly moving Sydney ferry. <シドニー湾 4> <Sydney Bay 4> We had a motto of our trip inside of ferry: “If you see something,say something” <シドニー湾 5> ひと際大きなヨットクルーザー。船名は『ネルソン』号、夜のディナークルーズの為か、若者が掃除中であった。 <Sydney Bay 5> This is the biggest yacht cruiser and the ship’s name is “Nelson”. A young man was cleaning it for night cruising. <シドニー湾 6> 『NO FISHING』の看板。この国の国民は、ずっと昔から釣りよりもヨットにシフトしている。 <Sydney Bay 6> This is a signboard of “No Fishing”. People likes yachts than fishing from old days in this country. <シドニー湾 7> 大勢の人が集まれば、パーティが始まる。結婚式かもしれない。 <Sydney Bay 7> If many people gather, party begins. It may be wedding ceremony. <シドニー湾 8> 駆逐艦と潜水艦もバックに見える、シドニー湾。 <Sydney Bay 8> There were a destroyer and a submarine in the Sydney bay. <シドニー湾 9> バイキング博の帆船?!キャプテンクックも、こんな船に乗って航海したのだろうか。 <Sydney Bay 9> This was a sailing boat of Viking Expo?! I guess Captain Cook had sailed such a ship. <シドニー湾 10> 普段とらないポーズだが、自然に出来てしまうシドニー市。 <Sydney Bay 10> It was the pose that I do not usually do, but it happens naturally in Sydney city. #

<メリトン・コンドミニアム> 男二人の宿泊でツインの予約が、恐れていたダブルベットだった。ちょっとしたミスで、火災報知機が鳴った事もありましたっけ。 <Meriton Pitt Street Apartment > We had a reservation of twin bed, but it was double bed. There are many homosexuals in this country. And the fire detector alarmed by mistake. <シティバンクビルとシドニータワー> 宿泊場所のベランダよりの眺め。シティバンクは、深夜でも部屋の20%の電気が点いていた。 <Citigroup Bill & Sydney Tower> This is a view from terrace of hotel. In the middle of the night about 20% of lights of rooms in Citi Bank was turned on. <シドニータワー> 古いビルの間から見えた新しいタワーは、いいカメラアングルだ。 <Sydney Tower> This was new Sydney Tower between the old building and it was a nice angle for camera shot. <クイーンビクトリアビルディング 1> クイーン・ビクトリア・ビルディング、皆はQVBと呼ぶ。このロマネスク建築は1989年に完成、1984年にショッピング・モールとして改築された。 <QVB 1> This is Queen Victoria Building,they are calling it QVB. This Romanesque architecture was completed in 1989, and it was rebuilt as shopping mall in 1984. 数少ないツゥーショットは、若い女性が快く、手ぶれのシャッターを押してくれました。 <QVB 2> This was one of the few photographs we two appear together. A young woman pushed a shutter. However camera was shaken. <ワーキング・ホリディー 1> 我々に『日本の方ですか』と声をかけた彼女は、石川県加賀温泉宿の娘。ワーキング・ホリディーで頑張っていた。 <Working Holiday 1> She asked us “Are you Japanese?” She was a daughter of owner of Kaga hot spring in Ishikawa. And she was doing her best in her working holiday. <ワーキング・ホリディー 2> 後ろの花の販売が彼女の今の仕事、性格の良い・親切なお嬢さんでした。 <Working Holiday 2> She asked us “Are you Japanese?” She was a daughter of owner of Kaga hot spring in Ishikawa. And she was doing her best in her working holiday. 【シドニー・キングスフォードスミス空港】 【Sydney Kingsford Smith airport】 <カンタス532便> フライトアテンダントは、なんと全員男性、それも35歳前後のダンディな一行。飲物等の配布にはびっくり。 <Qantas 532> All members of flight attendant were men. They were dandy and around 35 years old. And we were surprised at their distribution of drinks. #

ブリスベン市はクィンズランド州にあり州都。広さは東京23区の2倍、人口96万人(日本人742人)、シドニー・メルボルンについで3番目に大きい都市。 <Brisbane city> Brisbane is capital of State of Queensland. Area of the city is 2 times of 23 wards of Tokyo. And population is 960,000(740 Japanese). It is third big city after Sydney and Melbourne. <フェリー 1> ブリスベン市を流れるブリスベン川のフェリー。シドニーと同様にユッタリ・リズムで運行中、風が心地よい。 <Ferry 1> The ferry of Brisbane River flowing through the Brisbane city. This relaxed rhythm was the same as Sydney’s, and wind was very comfortable. <フェリー 2> ブリスベン川の両岸には、マンション・アパートメント・レストランが散在し、素晴らしい環境だ。ロングスティに良い所。 <Ferry 2> There are many apartments and restaurants on both sides of Brisbane river, and it is a splendid place. I think this place is good for long stay. <フェリー 3> ブリスベン川沿いの素晴らしいロケーションのマンション。あるリバーサイドで3ベッド・家具付A$450/週、家具無A$285/同の模様。いいねぇ。 <Ferry 3> This is a splendid apartment located along Brisbane River. The riverside apartment rental is A$450/per week with furniture and 3 beds, and A$285/per week without furniture. It’s wonderful. <フェリー 4> このフェリーも、ゆったりとしたスピードで走行していて心地よい。オージイーの生活のテンポもこの船と同様。 <Ferry 4> This ferry runs at slow speed which was very nice. The temp of Aussie life was same as this ship. <フェリー 5> TVの撮影を行っていた。カメラマンとナレーター兼務の女性は、美人オージーだった。 <Ferry 5> This is a TV shot. The cameraman and the narrator was beautiful Aussie woman. <フェリー 6> ブリスベン川は、市街地を蛇行している。船に長時間乗っている割に遠くに行っていない事が、地図を見て判明。 <Ferry 6> Brisbane River has meandered through a town area. We take a ferry for a long time, but we didn’t go along distance. We understood it looking at a map. <ランチ 1> レストランは、ほとんどが外にテーブル席を持つ。その場所での飲食は格別に旨い。そして、煙草も吸える。一方、フードコートという軽食を食べる所が数多くあり、便利。 <Lunch 1> A restaurant has most of the tables at outside. We had particularly good eating, drinking and smoking cigarettes at this place. There are a lot of places eat a light meal named “Food Court”, and it was convenient. <ランチ 2> フィッシュ&チップスは、美味しかった。勿論、ビールは地物『VBとカスケード』ビール、その他数種類のビールを旅行中飲酒。 <Lunch 2> This fish & chips was delicious. Of course, we enjoyed local products such as “VB and Cascade beer” and several other kinds during a trip. <喫煙> シドニー・ブリスベンとも、外で喫煙が可能。歩道にグリーンのゴミ箱が多く設置。この上部に灰皿があった。現地で煙草は、1箱800円位と高い。 <Smoking> I was able to smoke outside at Sydney and Brisbane. A lot of green trash boxes are put by the sidewalk and there is an ashtray on upper part. A cigarette is expensive costing 800 yen. <ディナー> ブリスベン・リバーサイドでの夕食。接客は感じのいい面白い女性でした。 注文をすると、必ず『Yah』の心地よい返事、われわれも『Yah』.。 <Dinner> This is dinner at restaurant of Brisbane Riverside. The waitress was good and funny woman. When we ordered it, she said “Yah” every time. It was nice for us and we replied “Yah”. #
